Bins, totes and containers
The bin range is the centre of the line, and it splits cleanly by how the bin is presented to the picker. A shelf bin slides onto a flat shelf and is pulled out to pick; the choice is depth and front height. A hang-and-stack bin hangs on a louvered panel or a rail, or stacks on a bench, and is picked from the open hopper front without moving it. A tote travels — it leaves the building or moves between cells, so the rim, the lid interface and the nesting behavior matter more than the front opening.
Shelf bins — three front heightsEconomy 4″ for fasteners and small piece parts, Store-More 6″ for roughly 68% more volume than the 4″ bin, Store-Max 8″ for about 95% more than the 4″. Clear-view versions read at a glance without a label.
Ultra hang-and-stack binsTwenty-two sizes with hopper fronts, wide stacking ledges and label holders, in a bin load range of roughly 15 to 80 lb depending on size. Also offered in a conductive material for ESD-controlled areas.

Heavy-duty bins and bulk containers — MAGNUM, HULK, RackBin, Giant Stack
Above the standard bin sizes the line moves into four named families, and buyers regularly confuse them because all four look like “a big bin” in a photograph. They are not interchangeable: they differ in stack rating, in whether the load faces you or you reach down into it, and in whether the container is designed to sit in a rack bay.
MAGNUM binsSix sizes in five colors, a published stack capacity up to 150 lb, and a stated service range of −40 °F to 250 °F, which is why they turn up in freezer and hot-process areas. Steel and wire shelving packages are built around them.
HULK containersThe 24″ HULK comes in ten sizes and four colors; the 30″ and 36″ HULK come in fourteen sizes and three colors. Deep reach-in containers for bulky, light-to-medium parts — sub-assemblies, mouldings, packaging.
RackBin 42″ containersThree sizes in two colors at roughly 41-7/8″ long with an eight-hole drain pattern, dimensioned to sit in a rack bay or on a wire shelving system rather than on a bench.

Manufacturer-published figures. Stack ratings assume the load is evenly distributed and the bins are stacked squarely on a level surface; never add shelf capacities together to get a unit capacity.
Complete bin shelving systems, pick racks and rail systems
Buying bins and shelving separately is the most common way a small-parts project ends up needing a second order. Quantum publishes the two together as complete package systems: a unit, a defined bin count, a defined bin size and a ship weight, under one model number. That is why the bin shelving hub is organized by build rather than by bin.
Sloped pick racks — single sidedEight sloped levels presenting the bin fronts down towards the picker. Single-sided racks sit against a wall in a parts room or at the end of a line.

Wire bin systemsComplete wire systems combining shelf bins, hang-and-stack bins or dividable grid containers with chrome or epoxy wire units, with published shelf ratings by build.Two practical notes that save rework. First, on wire systems, an add-on bay cannot be made mobile — only starter units take a mobile kit, so a run designed as starter plus add-ons is a stationary run. Second, louvered panels need mounting hardware that is not included with the panel, and panels mounted to a partition wall system need a panel frame. Both are line items we add at quoting. Bin cabinets — when the bins need a door
A cabinet is the right answer in three situations: the parts are worth stealing, the environment is dusty or wet, or the area is customer-facing and open bins look untidy. All-welded steel bin cabinets carry bins on the door panels and adjustable shelves inside, so the door swing itself is part of the pick face.
The range runs from 36″ cabinets with published interior shelf capacities around 800 lb and 60 lb per door shelf, through 48″ bin and all-purpose builds with punched panels, up to 60″ and 72″ colossal cabinets holding 227 and 264 bins with 6″ fork-liftable legs. Beyond the standard builds there are mesh Safe-View and clear acrylic security doors, clear tip-out cabinets with combination locks, sloped-shelf flow cabinets and interlocking drawer modules.
The bin cabinets hub carries the full build tables, door-swing dimensions and bin counts. For open builds, bin shelving is usually cheaper per pick face, and enclosed shelving units sit between the two.
Wire shelving — the widest family in the line
Wire shelving is the largest single block of Quantum SKUs we carry, and the reason is that one shelf-and-post system covers stockrooms, walk-in coolers, packing benches, tool rooms and mobile carts by changing finish and accessories rather than changing system. Shelf depths run 12″ to 36″, lengths 24″ to 72″, posts 6″ to 96″, with welded truss shelves and split-sleeve mounting that lets a shelf be repositioned on 1″ increments without tools.
Chrome wire shelvingThe default finish for dry indoor stockrooms and parts rooms. Starter kits ship as one box with posts, shelves and split sleeves.
Wire plus binsComplete wire-and-bin packages in mixed bin sizes, so one bay covers several part sizes without a custom build.

Mobile wire bin systemsA wire starter unit on a mobile kit turns a static bay into a point-of-use pick face — common in kitting, assembly feed and stores replenishment.Finishes matter more than most buyers expect. Chrome is an indoor dry-storage finish; Proform epoxy in green, gray or black is the humid and wash-down answer; 304 stainless with an electro-polished finish handles the harshest wash-down and corrosive duty; and polymer-mat hybrids give a flat surface on a wire frame. Steel shelving — closed, open and complete bin packages
Where wire shelving wins on airflow and cleanability, steel shelving wins on lateral stability, on carrying small loose items that fall through wire, and on being closed. The Quantum steel units are 22-gauge all-welded builds with slotted posts and powder-coat finish, offered as open units, closed units with back and side panels, and enclosed or secured bays.
Published unit data covers 39″ and 75″ heights, shelf sizes including 12″x36″, 18″x36″ and 18″x42″, four to eight shelf levels and ship weights from about 45 to 156 lb. Shelf capacity is published at 400 lb per shelf uniformly distributed — a per-shelf number, never a figure to be summed across a unit. Carts, trucks and mobile equipment
The cart range exists because storage and transport are the same problem in most plants: parts sit in a bin, then the bin has to move. Quantum builds carts as families that share the shelf platform and differ in perimeter, handle, caster and base, which is what lets one specification cover a clean assembly floor and a 400-foot push over a dock plate.

Conductive and ESD-area product lines
Electronics assembly, board repair, aerospace avionics and instrument shops all need storage that does not build a charge, and the Quantum line carries conductive versions across several families rather than as a single product: conductive Ultra hang-and-stack bins and dividers, conductive shelf bins, conductive dividable grid containers and bin carts, conductive wire utility carts, trays and tray carts, a conductive wire mobile kit and conductive label holders.
The manufacturer describes the material as a carbon-filled copolymer polypropylene, and publishes an electrostatic decay rate of less than 0.1 second tested by ASTM-D257 methods with a surface resistivity of less than 10⁵ ohms per square. Those are the manufacturer’s figures, quoted as published.
How compliance actually works
Conductive containers are one element of an ESD-controlled area, not a compliance certificate. Your own ESD control program decides what is acceptable, and the manufacturer is explicit that containers must be properly grounded for the way you use them. We supply the products and the published data; your ESD engineer or auditor sets the requirement.
