Metro qwikTRAK Floor-Track Mobile Shelving

Metro qwikTRAK runs a low-profile aluminum rail across the floor, and shelving units roll on
casters that ride the rail. Units park closed against each other and a single working aisle
opens wherever access is needed — the same track-mounted principle as Top-Track, but the
rail lives on the floor instead of the ceiling, which is what lets qwikTRAK carry more weight
per unit.

Because the rail is floor-mounted, a flat, level floor is a prerequisite: an older or uneven
slab may need prep before installation. In exchange, qwikTRAK units are rated to carry
significantly more weight per unit than an overhead system, which makes it the pick for dense,
heavy storage where the floor can take the rail.

Material Handling USA is an authorized Metro dealer, and specifies and installs qwikTRAK
systems using Metro’s own shelving lines — Super Erecta wire and MetroMax polymer —
on the floor-track hardware shown throughout this page.

Shelf & Finish Options

qwikTRAK units share the same shelving lines as Top-Track, so the choice comes down to
environment and load rather than the track itself:

• Super Erecta — Metro’s original wire shelving, offered in Brite, chrome,
  Metroseal 3 and type 304 stainless finishes.
• Super Adjustable Super Erecta — tool-free post adjustment on the same wire
  shelf platform.
• MetroMax i / MetroMax Q — polymer matrix shelving with corrosion-resistant
  posts, built for wash-down and wet environments.

Metro offers Microban antimicrobial product protection on select Metroseal-finish posts and
shelves; we note this as a manufacturer feature, not a certification or health claim, and any
