About Datum Storage Solutions
Datum has been owned and operated by the Potter family since 1968. What started as a desktop organizer business — Desk Top File Co., run out of the basement of the family home on Long Island — is now one of the country’s established storage system manufacturers.
Today Datum designs, engineers and builds a full range of storage products in a 200,000-square-foot facility in York, Pennsylvania, with in-house engineers, designers and fabricators. More than 40,000 organizations run Datum systems, from hospitals and police departments to museums, universities and government offices.

What Datum Manufactures
Datum builds five broad product families. MobileTrak5 is the track-mounted mobile carriage system — rail, carriages, mechanical-assist or powered drives and end panels — that carries shelving, cabinets or lockers in records rooms, evidence rooms and libraries. Filing and shelving covers four-post and wide-span shelving plus the EZ2 rotary action file, a 360-degree rotating cabinet for dense office filing.
Secure weapon storage includes weapon racks, bi-fold weapon cabinets and TrakSlider secure storage for armories and law-enforcement facilities. Technology storage covers TekCart and TekStak device charging and storage carts for schools and training rooms, alongside steel desks and workstations. GearStor lockers round out the line for personal gear, duty equipment and athletic storage.
