The Situation
RC Hobbs was setting up a brand-new warehouse facility to launch their third-party logistics operations. The freshly constructed space featured white insulated walls, exposed wood truss ceilings, LED bay lighting, and clean concrete flo or s — but no storage infrastructure. The facility needed a completepallet rack system designed and installed be for e the warehouse could begin receiving client inventory.
As a 3PL handling products for multiple clients, RC Hobbs required a flexible rack configuration that provides direct forklift access to every pallet position. The system needed to run along the warehouse wallsand in back-to-back rows through the center of the facility, integrating around building columnsand utility areas while maximizing every available square foot of floor space.
Wall-Run Installation
Selective pallet rack runs along the warehouse walls with green teardrop uprights, orange step beams, and wire mesh decking on every level. The clean new installation features three to four beam levels per bay, providing organized multi-level storage directly against the building walls while leaving clear forklift aisles for loading and unloading operations.
Center Rows & Details
Back-to-back rack rows run through the center of the facility, doubling the storage density compared to single-row wall runs. Each beam features a Material Handling label for easy identification and service. The rack system integrates cleanly around building columns, fire extinguisher locations, and utility areas including water fountainsand wash stations near the warehouse walls.
