Borroughs Government & Defense Storage Solutions
Heavy-duty shelving, drawer systems, and modular storage for agency records, supply depots, and mission-support facilities — sold and installed by MH-USA.

Heavy-duty storage for public-sector and mission-support facilities
Government and defense facilities carry a wider mix of storage needs than a typical commercial warehouse: supply depots, physical records that haven’t gone fully digital, field and remote-operations gear, and secure evidence rooms all show up on the same agency’s facilities list. MH-USA sells and installs Borroughs heavy-duty shelving and drawer systems for these applications. Note: this line is general-purpose industrial shelving and drawer storage — if you need dedicated law-enforcement evidence lockers or electronic chain-of-custody locker systems, see our Dasco tactical gear and evidence locker line, which is a separate, purpose-built product for that specific use case.
Core storage products for demanding environments
- Box Edge Plus shelving — heavy-duty shelving engineered for strength, versatility, and stability across agency supply and records rooms.
- Rivet-Span boltless shelving — tool-free assembly with adjustable shelves, useful when a storage room needs to be stood up or reconfigured quickly.
- High-density drawers — integrate with shelving units to keep tools, equipment, and documents organized and secure.
- Modular drawer cabinets — space-saving, configurable drawer storage for compact footprints.
- Workbenches — heavy-duty work surfaces for field repair stations, technical assembly, or operational prep areas.
These systems are general industrial-grade shelving and drawer storage, not a specialty security-rated product line — we’ll help identify which agency requirements (if any, such as specific load ratings or facility security standards) apply to a given room during planning, rather than assuming a compliance claim upfront.
Where this shelving shows up most
The most common government and defense storage rooms we plan around are physical records and document archives (agencies still manage large volumes of paper despite digital transformation), general supply and equipment depots, and field or remote-operations setups that need modular components — workbenches, shelving, and drawer storage — that can be assembled quickly on site.
Because MH-USA does not warehouse this line as retail stock, government and defense storage projects are quoted and built to the facility — we sell and install it, we don’t pull it off a shelf.

Where this fits versus our other government-facility storage lines
Wilsonstak library shelvingFor a records/reference library specifically (not general supply storage), see our Wilsonstak fixed shelving line.
Dasco tactical & evidence lockersFor dedicated evidence chain-of-custody or tactical gear lockers, see our Dasco locker line instead.
Rivet-Span record & bulk storageFor general archive and bulk paper storage, see our record and bulk storage line. Not sure which storage line fits your facility?
General supply, records, and field-equipment storage typically fits Borroughs shelving and drawer systems. If the room needs dedicated evidence chain-of-custody control or tactical locker assignment, our Dasco locker line is built specifically for that requirement.

What Borroughs’ industrial line actually offers government and mission-support facilities
Borroughs discontinued weapons-storage racks and no longer offers them as a product line, so we don’t quote or install those — the fit for agency and mission-support facilities is the same heavy-duty industrial storage used across distribution and manufacturing, sized for supply depots, motor pools, and logistics/support buildings:
- B-Span wide-span shelving (12- or 14-gauge steel, posts to 19 ft.) for bulky, non-palletized supply items that don’t fit clip-type shelving.
- Aisle-Saver mechanical mobile storage for space-constrained facilities — Borroughs’ own product literature documents a mechanical Aisle-Saver system installed at a military facility to store and compact parachute-packing surfaces when not in use, an example of the same compacting-shelving approach applied to a mission-support use case.
- Modular drawer cabinets and HD drawer systems for small-parts, tool, and equipment storage with keyed-alike or key-operated locking options.
- Box Edge Plus and Rivet-Span shelving for general supply and logistics storage, scaled from a single supply room to a full warehouse.
Because most government and defense facility projects also carry seismic, blast, or force-protection design review depending on the site, storage layouts are engineered to the building rather than sold as off-the-shelf units. Seismic anchoring for shelving and rack in these facilities follows the same code path as any commercial building — ASCE/SEI 7 seismic design provisions referenced by the applicable building code, with ANSI/RMI MH16.1 and MH16.3 governing rack-specific design and installation practices. Aisle-Saver mobile systems are also available with an optional seismic track (8-gauge gripper plates) for higher seismic design categories.
