A vertical storage system is only as good as its installation. Material Handling USA provides complete turnkey installation services for all types of vertical carousels, vertical lift modules, and hospital bedlifts. Our experienced installation team has completed hundreds of projects across the country.
Our Installation Process
1. Site Assessment
We visit your facility to measure floor space, ceiling height, floor load capacity, electrical availability, and access points. This ensures the right system is selected and the installation goes smoothly.
2. Design & Layout
Our design team creates CAD layouts showing the system placement, operator access zones, electrical routing, and any required floor reinforcement. You approve the design before we proceed.
3. Site Preparation
We coordinate floor prep, electrical rough-in, and seismic anchoring if required. Our team works with your general contractor or handles it directly.
4. Installation & Commissioning
Our certified installers assemble, level, and commission the system. We test all functions, train your team on operation and basic maintenance, and hand over the completed system.

Vidir Site Requirements: Plan the Handoff Before Installation
A purchasing approval, a delivery appointment, and a site ready for installation are three different milestones. Use this checklist to bring facilities, purchasing, operations, and the installer into the same conversation. It is a planning worksheet, not a machine installation manual or approval of your building.
Start with the documentation for the proposed machine
Identify the Vidir product family, quoted model, configuration, and drawing revision in the project file. Ask for the applicable installation instructions, electrical documentation, and operation and maintenance manual. Give your facilities and EH&S reviewers those documents while the purchase is being evaluated, rather than waiting until equipment arrives. If a drawing and a specification sheet disagree, return the discrepancy for a documented resolution; do not select whichever value makes the layout fit.

Questions to settle before booking work
- Who owns each task? Put unloading, assembly, site preparation, electrical work, equipment rental, commissioning, and training on separate lines in the scope. Identify included work, exclusions, and the responsible party.
- What does “commissioning” mean here? List the functions to demonstrate. If your project includes software or an inventory-system interface, identify the test plan and who supplies the configuration and test support.
- What will EH&S and maintenance review? Collect their questions about the current manual, operating procedures, access, and maintenance documentation before agreeing to the handover plan.
- What if the site is not ready? Ask how delivery, installation, storage, and a return visit would be handled. Keep the agreed change process with the purchase order; this worksheet does not establish a fee or cancellation policy.

Agree the Installation Schedule by Milestone
Request a project schedule that identifies the drawing review, site-work readiness, equipment delivery, installation, testing, and handover milestones separately. Have the responsible teams agree the sequence before booking work. An equipment delivery date is not a promise that the machine will be ready for operation that day.

How long does vertical carousel installation take?
Request a schedule for the exact machine, site, and agreed work scope. Identify delivery, assembly, site work, testing, and handover separately. This page does not set a standard installation duration or manufacturing lead time.
Do I need to prepare my facility before installation?
Use the current documents for the quoted Vidir model and a written site-readiness checklist. Record the reviewed layout, floor and anchoring information, electrical preparation, receiving access, and task owners. A general product page is not approval of your site.
What electrical supply does a Vidir carousel need?
Use the electrical documentation for the proposed model and configuration. Give it to the responsible electrician alongside your site's supply information before rough-in. Do not select a circuit from an older quote or from another carousel model.
Who supplies the forklift or access lift for installation?
Ask the installer to identify the equipment needed for the specific job, then record who supplies, books, operates, and pays for it. Do not book rental equipment from a general web checklist or assume rental is included in the installation line item.
Does installation include training and software commissioning?
Have the proposal identify operator training, functional testing, handover documents, and any software or inventory-system integration separately. Agree who attends and what demonstrates acceptance. This page does not establish that every installation includes the same training or software scope.
Can our own maintenance team install the equipment?
Request the applicable manufacturer installation instructions and have the proposed installation arrangement reviewed before deciding. Record responsibility for assembly, electrical work, testing, and handover. Having an in-house maintenance team does not by itself establish an approved installation arrangement.
What should our EH&S team review before purchase?
Request the current operation and maintenance manual and the documents for the quoted configuration. Review the proposed layout, intended loading and retrieval workflow, operating procedures, and maintenance access with the responsible project team. Keep outstanding questions in the submittal review rather than treating this FAQ as a safety assessment.
What warranty and rescheduling terms apply?
Obtain the written warranty for the quoted equipment and identify any separate installation or service coverage. Also record the agreed process for a site delay, storage, or a return visit. Do not infer coverage, duration, exclusions, or fees from another project's order.
