The carousel rotates its carriers and stops the requested tire set at a comfortable working height, so nobody climbs a ladder, reaches overhead with a 50–80 lb tire or waits for a forklift.

T39 for passenger and light-truck tires up to 28″, T45 for truck and SUV tires up to 33″, and heavy-duty HT54 for commercial truck and aviation tires up to 44″. T39 and T45 carriers are rated 1,000 lb, HT54 carriers 2,000 lb, and the largest standard model stores 352 tires. Each unit is specced around your tire mix and ceiling height.
Forward/reverse push-button controls, a security keypad and an emergency stop come standard, with mesh guarding front and back. The chain drive is rated 13,000 lb overall, with off-balance ratings up to 2,500 lb depending on carrier. Units carry the cCSAus mark and a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Tire carousels are motorized vertical storage machines. Each tire carousel is a tall steel frame with tire carriers on a chain loop that rotate up, over and down, bringing any carrier to one loading opening near the floor.
Instead of spreading tires across rows of static racks, a Vidir Tire Carousel stacks the carriers vertically inside a footprint roughly the size of a parking space or two, and uses the room’s ceiling height for capacity. Each carrier holds a row of tires standing on their tread, separated by two tire dividers that come standard.
Because the machine moves the tire to the operator, nobody climbs a ladder or reaches over their head with a 50–80 lb tire. The operator enters a code on the security keypad, presses forward or reverse, and the chain drive brings the selected carrier to the opening at about 26.5 feet per minute. Mesh guarding front and back keeps hands and tires inside the machine while it moves.

Tire counts are Vidir’s published figures based on 7″-wide tires (28″ models), 9″-wide tires (33″) and 11″-wide tires (44″); wider tires or mounted wheel assemblies reduce the count. Floor area and tires per square foot are our arithmetic from the published width and depth, for comparing models, and exclude the clear space in front of the loading opening.
Reading the table: the cheapest square footage in a building is the air above the floor. A 13′ 2″ T39 holds 147 tires on about 98 sq ft; the same footprint at 26′ 6″ holds 315. If ceiling height is limited, the wider -15 and -18 versions add capacity sideways instead — the T39228-1140-18 stores 352 tires under a 19′ 10″ ceiling line. We do not publish one price because no two tire carousels are quoted the same. The main cost drivers are the carrier family (heavy-tire HT54 machines carry more steel and a variable frequency drive), the height and width of the model, how many units are in the bank, options such as gates, enclosures, ramps or a lifter, freight distance, and installation scope including any electrical or slab work on your side. Some buyers ask whether a tire carousel can hold cable drums or wire reels. It can in some cases — one Florida electrical distributor stores drums on tire-carousel carriers — but a dedicated wire and cable reel carousel is usually the better fit for heavy reels.

Pulling 50–80 lb tires from the floor or an overhead rack every day is a real injury exposure. The carousel presents each carrier at a comfortable working height, and an optional loading ramp lets heavier tires roll on instead of being lifted.
