Who Is SpaceGuard Products?

SpaceGuard Products is a U.S. manufacturer of wire partitions and area guarding, based in Seymour, Indiana. This page is our guide to its product lines and where each one fits.

SpaceGuard was formed in 1990 when Logan Wire Company and Ford Fence Company merged, bringing together more than 100 years of combined wire experience. FordLogan woven diamond-mesh partitions came first; BeastWire® welded mesh followed in 2016, replacing five older lines with one universal panel.

RageWire® robotic guarding arrived in 2020, and the Centurion™ pallet rack repair kits in 2023, alongside AisleGuard guardrail, mezzanine railing, gates and window guards.

Material Handling USA designs, quotes and installs these systems. For each category, see our security cages hub, machine guarding systems and pallet rack repair and inspection pages.

BeastWire® Welded Wire Mesh Guarding

One universal welded panel builds cages, partitions, lockers, rack guarding and infill systems.

BeastWire panels are fully welded from 10-gauge or 6-gauge wire and stack between universal posts, so the same parts build a tool crib, a driver access cage or a full warehouse partition. Panels and posts are interchangeable, gates are reversible and connections use carriage bolts.

  • Mesh: 2″ square (standard), 1½″ diamond, 1″ or ½″ square, expanded or sheet metal
  • Heights: 6′, 7′, 8′ and custom, with stacked builds up to 40′
  • Swing and slide doors, XL doors, closers, tamper-proof hardware and interlocks
  • Backed by SpaceGuard’s 10-year warranty

Full specs, door sizes and options are on our BeastWire mesh partitions page.

BeastWire Tunnel Door

SpaceGuard’s newest BeastWire door is built for high-clearance openings where cranes, tall forklift masts or oversized loads pass through a cage wall.

  • Unlimited overhead clearance — nothing crosses the opening when it is open
  • Above-floor track — no floor cutting or trenching, so the slab stays intact
  • Precision-guided travel — smooth movement and consistent lock engagement
  • Small footprint — no large retraction zone beside the opening

FordLogan Woven Wire Partitions, Lockers & Machine Guarding

The diamond-mesh partition architects have specified for decades, with roots in Logan Wire (founded 1876).

FordLogan panels use SpaceGuard’s exclusive UNI-MESH™ design: a true 1½″ diamond opening runs across the whole panel, with no large gaps at the top, bottom, corners or sides. The triple-crimped woven wire gives the same finished look on both sides of the cage.

  • Colonel Clamp panel-to-panel connection for faster, more secure installs
  • Consistent bolt patterns across standard heights
  • Standard gray material offered in 7′, 8′ and 10′ heights through SpaceGuard Quick Ship
  • Meets Division 10 architectural specifications

RageWire® Robotic & Automation Guarding

A frameless, five-component guarding system: plant a post, hang a panel.

RageWire uses one standard 5′-wide mesh panel, universal posts in 6′, 7′ and 8′ heights, one bracket, two door options and electric interlock integration. The V-bend in each panel adds rigidity and forms a recessed cable channel.

  • 1.25″ × 4″ mesh opening allows a 17.5″ distance to hazard under RIA/ANSI
  • Pivot posts turn corners up to 160°; posts take light curtains and photo eyes
  • Saddle-pocket brackets let panels lift out for machine access
  • Hardware stays on the bracket and will not disengage on impact; 4″ sweep space
  • Swing and slide doors work with Fortress interlocks

RageWire partitions

The same frameless system also builds plain partitions and storage cages. Unframed panels are easy to cut and modify in the field. Yellow posts and black panels are standard, and BeastWire doors can be added for specialized openings, as in this cage.

The BeastWire guarding shown here separates a conveyor and pick-module area from a busy aisle. Interlocked barrier guards can shut equipment off when a door opens, and presence-sensing devices such as light curtains can be added for another layer of protection.

Machine guarding must fit the hazard. Your safety team or integrator sets the risk assessment and safety distances; we supply and install the guarding to match.

How a Centurion repair usually goes

1

Inspect

A rack inspection finds and grades the damage. See rack repair & inspection.

2

Measure & select

Record upright size (3″, 4″ or 5″), hole pattern and damage height, then pick Low, Mid, High, VanGuard or Row Guard.

3

Lift & install

Usually only the 2–8 pallets at the damaged area come off; the Primus Jack lifts the upright at the repair zone.

4

Protect

Add rack guards or a Row Guard where the impacts happened.

Repair or replace?

SpaceGuard’s case for repair is lower material and labor cost, less downtime and no change to your layout. A damaged upright should be offloaded or isolated until it is repaired, and severe damage or an engineered system may still call for a new frame. Your rack manufacturer or an engineer has the final word on load ratings after a repair.

AisleGuard Guardrail, Bollards & Rack Guards

Impact protection for people, racks, cages and equipment along forklift routes.

Yellow SpaceGuard AisleGuard industrial guardrail with double rails along a pallet rack aisle

AisleGuard industrial guardrail builds a continuous barrier against forklifts, carts, AGVs and stackers. Bollards and rack guards protect dock doors, column bases and the corners of cages and in-plant offices.

  • Structural channel rails tested to withstand impacts over 10,000 lbs at 4 mph
  • Single-, double- and triple-rail layouts
  • Bolt-through or drop-in rail design
  • OSHA safety-yellow powder coat; ships with hardware

See our forklift and pallet rack protection guide and rack guards and column protectors.

Infill Panels & Window Guards

Heavy-duty mesh panels that secure windows, doors, vents and open framing without blocking light or air.

SpaceGuard infill panels and window guards are built to fit each opening. The infill — heavy-duty 6-gauge welded wire, 10-gauge woven mesh, expanded metal or sheet metal — is welded into an angle frame.

  • Standard mesh: 2″ square welded or 1½″ diamond woven; smaller mesh available
  • Mounts through the frame into the opening, or with flush-mount brackets
  • Powder-coated finish; hot-dip galvanized as a special option
  • Used for windows, doors, vents, railing infill and parking-garage openings

SpaceGuard Products FAQs

What does SpaceGuard Products make?
SpaceGuard makes wire mesh partitions and security cages, wire mesh lockers, machine and robotic guarding, pallet rack safety panels, Centurion pallet rack repair kits, AisleGuard guardrail and bollards, mezzanine railing, gates, and infill panels and window guards. Its brands are BeastWire, FordLogan, RageWire, Centurion and AisleGuard.
What is the difference between BeastWire and FordLogan?
BeastWire uses fully welded 10- or 6-gauge wire, usually in a 2-inch square mesh, on universal posts. FordLogan uses a woven, triple-crimped 1.5-inch diamond mesh with the same look on both sides. Both build cages and partitions and both meet Division 10 architectural specifications.
What is RageWire used for?
RageWire is a frameless robotic and automation guarding system with five components: a 5-foot panel, posts in 6, 7 and 8-foot heights, one bracket, two door styles and interlock integration. Its 1.25 x 4-inch mesh allows a 17.5-inch distance to hazard under RIA/ANSI.
What is a Centurion Row Guard?
The Centurion Row Guard is a preventive end-of-row guard that replaces traditional end-of-row guards. It protects and repairs both front and rear uprights against side impact and is custom made to your rack size, with in-line or seismic base plates.
Can Centurion kits be installed without unloading the rack?
SpaceGuard says Centurion kits install in under 45 minutes without offloading the rack, and the Primus Jack lifts the upright at the repair zone in most situations. Usually only the pallets at the damaged area need to come off. Damaged uprights should be isolated until they are repaired.
Do Centurion repair kits fit my pallet rack?
Centurion kits come in 3, 4 and 5-inch upright sizes, cover teardrop and structural hole patterns, and SpaceGuard rates them compatible with 99% of uprights. Send us the upright size, hole pattern and damage height to confirm.
What are BeastWire infill panels and window guards?
They are framed mesh panels that secure windows, doors, vents and openings. Infill choices are 6-gauge welded wire, 10-gauge woven mesh, expanded metal or sheet metal, mounted through the frame or with flush brackets, powder coated or hot-dip galvanized.
What is the BeastWire Tunnel Door?
It is a high-clearance BeastWire door for cage walls. It leaves unlimited overhead clearance for cranes and tall loads, runs on an above-floor track with no trenching, and needs only a small footprint beside the opening.
What warranty comes with SpaceGuard products?
BeastWire partitions and panels carry a 10-year warranty and FordLogan lockers carry a one-year warranty. We confirm warranty terms for other lines on your quote.
Are SpaceGuard products in stock?
Some common sizes are in stock at select manufacturers, subject to confirmation. SpaceGuard publishes Quick Ship lead times by brand, counted in working days after drawings are approved. We confirm availability and lead time on every quote.
Do you install SpaceGuard cages and guarding?
Yes. Material Handling USA lays out, supplies and installs SpaceGuard systems nationwide, including anchoring, doors, locks and add-ons. Call (800) 326-4403 or request a quote.
