What are BeastWire mesh partitions?
BeastWire® is the welded wire mesh guarding line from SpaceGuard Products, introduced in 2016. SpaceGuard’s engineers built it around one idea: cut the number of parts. A single universal panel stacks between universal posts to build wire mesh security cages, lockers, rack guarding and mesh infill, so there are fewer part numbers to order and fewer ways for an installation to go wrong.
The panels are fully welded rather than woven, and SpaceGuard backs the partitions with a 10-year warranty. Installers get interchangeable posts and panels, reversible gates and clean field cuts when a panel has to be trimmed around a column or conduit. Post spacing, anchoring and panel stacking are laid out step by step in the BeastWire installation instructions (PDF).

MH-USA quotes BeastWire alongside Wire Crafters and other partition lines, so you can compare systems on one drawing. Our SpaceGuard Products page covers the rest of the SpaceGuard family, including RageWire robotic guarding and Ford Logan lockers.
BeastWire partition features and specifications
Summarized from SpaceGuard’s published BeastWire partition information (spaceguardproducts.com):
For component-level choices that apply to any brand — mesh styles, posts, solid and clear infill — see our wire partition components page. Finishes and exact panel widths should be confirmed on the quote drawing.
Doors, gates and access control

BeastWire gates are reversible, so the same door can swing left or right as the layout changes. SpaceGuard offers swing and slide doors, oversized XL doors for equipment and forklift openings, and gate-closing options that range from simple closers to automatic operators. Interlock options let one door stay locked until another is closed — useful for man-trap entries into high-value or DEA controlled-substance cages.
Keyed locks, keypads and card readers are compared on our security cage locks and access control page, and door styles on security cage doors.
Where BeastWire partitions are used
SpaceGuard lists these BeastWire partition applications:
- Driver cages and facility access control
- Tool cribs and inventory cages
- Machine guarding and robotic cells
- Data center cages
- DEA drug storage cages and wire security cages
- Evidence and security enclosures
- Rack storage, military storage and tenant storage

Wire mesh partitions: how BeastWire fits
Wire mesh partitions are modular steel walls: mesh panels bolted between posts, with doors and windows, that divide space inside a building. They are used to build tool cribs, inventory cages, driver cages, IT cages and machine guarding without framing or drywall.
BeastWire is one of several partition systems. Its welded 10 or 6 gauge mesh and universal panel make it a strong choice when one project mixes cages, lockers and rack guarding. Light, air, camera views and sprinkler water all pass through the mesh, so most rooms need no new building systems.

Welded vs woven wire mesh partitions
Partition panels come in two basic constructions. Welded mesh, like BeastWire, has wires fused at every crossing, so the grid stays square and resists spreading. Woven mesh, like Wire Crafters Style 840 or SpaceGuard’s FordLogan, crimps wires together in a diamond or square pattern inside a frame. Both are used for security cages. The right one depends on the look you want, the panel sizes you need and the other systems already in the building.
| Welded mesh panels | Woven mesh panels | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical mesh | 2 in. square grid | 1-1/2 in. diamond or 2 in. x 1 in. |
| Strength | Wires fused at each joint | Wires crimped, held by frame |
| Look | Clean square grid | Classic diamond pattern |

RageWire partition panels

SpaceGuard also makes RageWire partitions, a frameless welded mesh system with yellow posts that SpaceGuard positions mainly for robotic and machine guarding. RageWire and BeastWire can work together: a BeastWire slide door can close a RageWire run. If you were shown RageWire for a security cage, ask us to price the same layout in BeastWire so you can compare.
Military and government wire cage partitions
Military bases, National Guard armories, reserve centers and state agencies use wire cage partitions to keep gear, supplies and sensitive equipment behind a locked, visible barrier. SpaceGuard lists these military uses for its mesh partitions and lockers:
- TA-50 wardrobe and gear lockers
- Unit storage and supply room cages
- Temporary holding cells and evidence lock-up
- Tool cribs and motor pool enclosures
- Duffel bag and sports equipment cages

Arms vaults and rooms for classified material have their own construction rules, set by the unit’s security manager and the governing regulation. Wire mesh can be part of those rooms, but the design must be approved by the people responsible for them. We supply and install to the approved design; we do not certify rooms.
Government buyers often need a quote on agency letterhead, a drawing for approval and delivery to a secured site. Tell us the contract vehicle you use and your site’s access rules up front. Wire Crafters, another partition line we are an authorized dealer for, also builds military gear lockers and storage cages, so we can compare both on one project. Project examples: our Robins Air Force Base security cage and Tyndall Air Force Base loss-prevention cage. Related pages: law enforcement storage and temporary holding cells.
Planning a wire mesh partition project
Most partition quotes move faster when the first sketch answers a few questions. Use this list whether you end up choosing BeastWire, Wire Crafters or another system.
Send those details with photos, and we return a drawing for your approval with panel counts, doors, locks and finish before anything is ordered. For anchoring details see security cage anchoring and seismic bracing; for components that apply to any brand, see wire partition components.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ordering panel heights that leave a gap someone can climb over, with no ceiling
- Forgetting door swing space in a narrow aisle; a slide door may fit better
- Missing sprinkler, light or duct conflicts above a mesh ceiling
- Choosing locks before deciding who needs access and how keys are controlled
